How To Create Folder and Group Applications on iPhone - Creating a folder on your iPhone is the most appropriate way to tidy up the cluttered look on your home screen. Grouping the same applications can also make it easier for you to use your cellphone - if all your music applications are in the same place, you no longer need to search for them in each folder or search on your mobile first when you want to use them.

Actually the method for creating folders cannot be explained in detail, because there are no buttons. But after you learn this simple trick, surely you will easily do it on your iPhone.

Create a Folder and Group Applications on the iPhone

1. To create a folder, you need at least two applications to put in the folder. Please find two applications that you want to use
2. Press and hold an application until all the applications on the screen appear to vibrate (this is the same process you use to reset the application again.)
3. Drag one application to another. When the first application appears to join the second, release your finger from the screen. This will create a folder
4. What you see next will be different depending on what version of iOS you are running. On iOS 7 and higher, folders and names will be suggested at the top of the screen. On iOS 4-6, you will see two applications and names for the folder in a small strip on the screen.
5. You can edit the name of the current folder (or later) by tapping the name and using the on-screen keyboard. More about folder names in the next section.
6. If you want to add more applications to the folder, tap the wallpaper to minimize the folder and then drag more applications into the new folder
7. If you have added all the applications you want and the name has been edited, click the Home button on the front center of the iPhone and the changes will be saved (like when rearranging the icon)
8. To edit an existing folder, press and hold on the folder until it starts moving.
9. Press the second time and the contents of the folder will fill the screen.
10. Edit the name of the folder by pressing on the text.
11. Add more applications by dragging.
12. Click the Home button to save changes.

Suggested Folder Names

When you first create a folder, iPhone will give the suggested name. The name is chosen based on the category of origin of the application in the folder. for example, if, they are the Games category from the App Store, the grouping name will suggest "Games".

Add a Folder to the iPhone Dock
The Dock is where four applications are located at the bottom of the iPhone screen. You can add folders to the dock if you want to do it. To do this:

1. Move one of the applications currently in the dock by dragging it to the initial homescreen area.
2. Drag the folder into the remaining free space.
3. Press the Home button to save changes.

Create Folders on iPhone 6S, 7, 8 and X

Creating folders on the iPhone 6S and 7 series, and also on the iPhone 8 and iPhone X, is a bit complicated. That's because the 3D Touch screen on the device will respond differently to presses on the screen. If you have one of these phones, don't press too hard in step 2 above. Just press lightly and hold to taste (use your feelings).

Remove Application from Folder
If you want to delete the application from the folder on your iPhone or iPod touch, follow these steps:

1. Tap and hold the folder you want to delete from the application.
2. When applications and folders start jiggling, release your finger from the screen.
3. Tap the folder that you want to delete from the application.
4. Drag the application from the folder to the Homescreen.
5. Click the Home button to save the new settings.

Deleting a folder is the same as deleting an application.

1. Simply drag all applications from the folder and to the Homescreen.
2. If you do this, the folder will disappear.
3. Press the Home button to save changes and finish.
