Modern Warfare patch notes - Recently the developers at Infinity Ward (or perhaps one of the other supporting studios of Call of Duty) left in some internal comments with their latest Call of Duty about Modern Warfare sticky notes. Although these records have been deleted several times from where they were found on Battle.net as of this writing, the internet has never forgotten. Therefore we see that there are leaks like this giving unique insights about the filling process.
Two notes are still left on Battle.net, one positive and less so. To make an update that anyone can do will involve adding Gun Games, a fan favorite mode for fans. As you might see in the notes (saved in the screenshot above CharlieIntel), the developers agree with that sentiment.
"Gun Game is a fan favorite mode of several modes and we must see positive sentiment around the addition. "
The second note revolves around how many footsteps will make a multiplayer match. Although this patch does adjust some of the sounds around the movement, it seems like the developers are aware that it won't be enough to satisfy everyone.
"This is a hot topic in the community, and this is not the change they expect. Our core players want to see the volume of footsteps decrease dramatically. "
The way to patch the game is always a fragile balance and this internal record shows that developers are often too aware of how potential changes can affect the communities around their creations. But if you are one of those players who is knocked out by a hard step at every angle, there will definitely be a way to improve the audio mix at your end. But even so, there might be a small violation that will inspire developers to talk more openly about why they make changes, even if they know that's not what their players want.
